People who know me know that I’m a big supporter of increased immigration.  A surge of new educated immigrants would create an economic boom, solve our housing issues, and reinvigorate our cities.  Actually, I’d go one better than that.  I’d let anyone in who wanted to come, and I’d have them sign a large note, say $10,000, on entering the country, help reduce our debt.

Of course, none of that is going to happen, and I know it, but I have another idea.  Let’s let any foreign student who completes a degree at an American university stay.

There are thousands of foreign students in American universities.  When they come to study, most say they want to go back home after they finish their degree.  However, when they are done, they almost always want to stay.  We should let them.  These students are good, the best their countries have to offer.  They would make America a better place.
