The Case for Growth
CERF Executive Director Matthew Fienup will present the 2024 Ventura County Economic Forecast publication, with in-depth analysis of the county’s economic and demographic performance and the role of local and regional policies in shaping growth. Fienup will also present CERF’s award-winning U.S. and California Economic Forecasts.
Featured Speaker David Bahnsen is an economist, portfolio manager, author, and TV Commentator. He is also the founder of the Bahnsen Group, a bi-coastal wealth management company. In addition to having authored five books, Bahnsen hosts the weekly Capital Record podcast and is a frequent guest on CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg TV. Bahnsen will discuss the importance of economic growth and the conditions required for prosperity and human flourishing.

Most people will tell you, when you leave California, you don't have state income taxes anymore. And you actually feel that immediately. We felt the price of gas immediately. We felt the prices of heating and electricity immediately. You know, it just seems easier to be able to live. Getting by is easier. And if getting by is easier, it's a heck of a lot easier to start thriving."
